Milwaukee introduces: The Rapid Charging station

On January 9th, Milwaukee introduced their new charging station which has the ability to charge six packs four (4) times faster than the M12 and M18 rapid charge station.  These puppies will be available February 2015.

Milwaukee stated that it will charge three (3) batteries simultaneously and 40% faster than before.  This will reduce the downtime on job sites and increase productivity, which is definitely a good thing.

The new charging station will be able to hold three (3) M18 batteries as well as three (3) M12 batteries all at once.  Along with this large charging station, Milwaukee features Redlink, which monitors the health of the battery packs, protecting them from over charging.  Here’s a major perk, the charger will indicate an 80% state of charge by a slow, green flashing light.  This will allow you to take your battery off the charger and still get a lot of work done.

So here are some new charging times:

The M18 Redlithium XC Battery used to charge in 60 minutes… now you can charge 3 M18 Redlithium batteries in 37 minutes or six (6) M18 XC batteries in 74 minutes.  Not too shabby!
